Microsoft Studios and Undead Labs heard the fans and implemented a multiplayer co-op mode in State of Decay 2. Why can’t I join my friend in state of decay 2? Multiplayer will be in their next game, which they are currently working on but haven’t released any info. They’ve just remastered it, improved some animations, and added some new combat features, weapons, vehicles, survivors, etc. No, this is the same game that couldn’t have co-op in it before. Unless they also have a copy of State of Decay 2 and head home to play co-op with you online! For that, you simply need to make sure your game is open to friends joining, and then you can send an invite whenever you want. It's also important to note that the autosave feature won't save the player's progress within a mission, meaning players will have to start a mission over if they reload the game.In State of Decay 2, there’s no local co-op multiplayer splitscreen option. There are a lot of reasons why players might want to manually save and load their game, whether that's to make different decisions or something else, and that is not an option here thanks to the autosave feature. On the positive side of things, this ensures that players will almost never lose their progress, but it does come with some drawbacks. Instead, the game will autosave whenever the player performs certain actions. There is no way to manually save the game in State of Decay 2. Naturally, after the first session of playing the game, players might be wondering how they should go about saving before they quit. Without this, players wouldn't be able to get far into the game, as they would have to start over. As with any game, saving one's progress is an absolutely vital feature in State of Decay 2.
